Frontend Developer with Design

Frontend Developer | Fully remote or hybrid in Bristol | Salary Range: £40-55k Are you an accomplished Frontend Developer who also loves getting involved in all things design After building out their product range in recent years, my client has recently created a specialist Frontend Development function to ensure they have the very best frontend & user experience for their end-users! They’re now looking for someone to join that team as they grow.They’re the number one company in their field, offering a comprehensive suite of products far beyond their competitors. They also have an amazing customer-base and significant backing – they’re going places!They use Vue.js on their frontend, but they’re agnostic when it comes to which frontend framework you have used in the past – it’s far more important that you are an accomplished frontend engineer who has worked with Vue.js or React on large-scale SaaS products for a product company.From a design perspective, you’ll either ideally have experience of working with tools such as Figma, designing & wireframing products, or excellent focus on the user and a fantastic ability to put yourself in the user’s shoes when building products & a desire to build up your skills with design tools.You’ll benefit from a good amount of responsibility but will also get huge support from the other members of their engineering team (the team is circa 10 engineers in total).They have a central hub of developers in Bristol, so it would be ideal if you are happy to travel into the office occasionally but it’s fine to be remote if that works better for you.I’ve met some of the team myself and they are so nice & supportive – it’s a great place to develop your skills and grow your career.What you’ll need

• Highly proficient in Frontend Development with either Vue.js or React but happy coding in Vue.js moving forwards
• A background of working in a product-side company building out large-scale & complex products 
• Either experience with Figma & wireframing, or an excellent ability to consider users when building products & the desire to develop your commercial design skills further
• Experience of conducting user research, or excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in developing this skillset
• Ideally previous experience of using Figma or a similar tool (either commercially or in personal products)
•  A proactive nature and the ability to work in an autonomous environment
• Happy with hybrid working in central Bristol or fully remote (whatever works best for you!)
