Lead Business Analyst GDPR / Information Governance / Data Management Remote | Outside IR35 | £500 - £600  We’re looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to support a government sector client on a critical enterprise level data programme. This role will be central to shaping how the department manages information governance, data protection, and audit readiness.Overview of role:

• Lead business analysis activities across four key workstreams: Governance, Current State Assessment, Audit Design, and Data Governance Framework/Operating Model.
• Review and assess existing governance policies, procedures, and data practices.
• Define regulatory and legal requirements, supporting GDPR and information privacy compliance.
• Conduct compliance gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities with remediation options.
• Support the design of a robust audit framework, including stakeholder engagement and scoping activities.
• Contribute to the development of a scalable Data Governance Framework and Operating Model, including policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities.
• Produce clear documentation, reports, and recommendations to guide UKHSA towards a successful audit.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst
• Strong background in Information Governance, particularly GDPR, privacy, and information protection framework (essential)
• Hands-on experience supporting or delivering IG audits.
• Excellent skills in gap analysis, compliance assessment, stakeholder engagement, and governance design.
• Strong communicator with the ability to present findings and influence senior stakeholders.

Contract:

• Outside IR35
• £500-£600
• Remote first (onsite for key meetings)
• Start date ASAP
• 6 month rolling contracts
