Senior Risk Analyst - Inside IR35 - SC Cleared
We are seeking a PMO Analyst / Project Manager to join the programme’s Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) function, with a specific focus on project and enterprise risk. This role will work closely with the Risk Lead to support the effective management of risks across the programme, ensuring robust tracking, analysis, and reporting. The successful candidate will have a PMO or P3M background with demonstrable experience in risk management, ideally within large or complex programmes.Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of programme-wide risk frameworks within the GRC function.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of project and programme risk registers, ensuring risks are accurately logged, categorised, and updated with appropriate mitigations.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments at project and workstream level, escalating critical risks as required.
- Produce clear and concise risk reporting and dashboards to inform programme governance and senior stakeholder decision-making.
- Facilitate risk workshops, engaging delivery teams to capture risks and build stronger risk awareness across the programme.
- Provide practical recommendations on risk treatment, control measures, and contingency planning.
- Deputise for the Risk Lead where required, including presenting risk updates at governance forums.
- Contribute to wider PMO/GRC activities such as assurance, planning, and reporting, ensuring risk is embedded across all programme controls.
- Experience working within PMO, P3M, or programme/project support roles, with a clear focus on project and enterprise risk.
- Hands-on background in risk management: maintaining registers, conducting assessments, and producing actionable reports.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience facilitating workshops and influencing delivery teams.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, able to interpret data and provide concise insights to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in risk reporting and presentation.
- Strong IT/PMO tooling experience (Excel, Power BI, PPM tools) for risk tracking and reporting.
- Desirable: Knowledge of recognised risk management standards and frameworks such as ISO 31000 and Management of Risk (MoR); professional qualifications (e.g., MoR Foundation/Practitioner, P3O, PRINCE2, IRM).
