Hours: 22 hours per week
Rates: £22.79-27.25 p/h
Job Description
SRG are looking for an online learning content developer to join a world leading teaching and research university. This role stills within the Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology which undertakes world-leading research and teaching in mind, behaviour, and language. It brings together researchers in a range of disciplines such as psychoanalysis, neuroscience, health, education, communication, medicine, behaviour and development. You will be responsible for helping to develop a new fully online Master's programme in Psychology and Trauma (Adult Route).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Use their expertise in content creation and learning design to contribute to the development of the online programme and modules.
- Work with academics to design, adapt and develop teaching materials for online courses.
- Advise on and develop rich and authentic learning and assessment activities.
- Perform quality assurance, web standards, accessibility and cross-browser checks on all materials and activities before release.
Experience and Qualifications
- Thorough working knowledge of the systems and applications used within the job role area (e.g. Moodle plus media and e-learning content authoring tools)
- An understanding of how web-based, multimedia and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning, teaching and assessment
- Experience of developing educational material within a team, working closely with academic subject experts and technical support teams
- Expert in the configuration and use of activity and content types and confident taking decisions on how to lay out content within overall user experience design system guidelines
- Experience of learning, teaching or training online and evidence of effectively sharing technical knowledge and skill to support the work and learning of colleagues and users
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills and able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Highly proactive, and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of teamwork
- The ability to manage a workload with changing priorities and tight deadlines as part of a flexible team
- Meticulous degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative; and to know when to refer decisions upwards
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with a range of stakeholders
- Switching easily between tasks for different groups and stakeholders
- Anticipating issues and adjusting approaches when necessary
