Software Manager
We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented software and firmware engineers developing cutting-edge technologies across MedTech, diagnostics, connected devices, wearables, sensor systems and drug delivery platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
As Software Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of software and firmware engineers, creating a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
- Manage resource allocation, workload planning and performance development for a team of up to 8 direct reports.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle from concept and architecture through development, testing, validation, deployment and support.
- Provide technical leadership across software, embedded systems and connected technologies projects.
- Ensure software development activities comply with relevant quality and regulatory standards including IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and other applicable requirements.
- Drive and embed engineering best practice including code review, version control, CI/CD, automated testing and technical documentation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Electronics, Product Design, Quality Assurance and Production to deliver integrated product solutions.
- Support customer engagement, proposal development and future business opportunities through technical expertise and leadership.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement and adoption of modern development methodologies and tooling.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Industrial experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
- Experience managing or leading software development teams.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, systems design and software development lifecycle management.
- Experience developing embedded software and firmware in industrial or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS environments and hardware/software integration.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to coach, develop and inspire technical teams.
Desirable
- Experience within medical devices, healthcare technology or other safety-critical industries.
- Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, GMP and FDA-regulated environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of cybersecurity for connected devices and IoT systems.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies and data-driven applications.
- Experience with mobile, web, IoT, Embedded Linux, Python, FPGA or MATLAB development.
