Role
Working alongside our IT Manager, you'll provide first-line support across the business, assisting with day-to-day IT requests as well as a variety of exciting projects.
Key responsibilities:
As part of the role, we'll support you in completing a Level 3 Information Communications Technician (ICT) Apprenticeship, providing structured training, hands-on experience and ongoing coaching to help you build a successful career in IT.

The team you’ll be working in:
Working within the IT team, you will be an integral part of delivering a great service to internal colleagues. Besides your immediate peers, you will also work closely with all teams on a day to day basis to ensure that we deliver a great result for both the customer and our business.
What you’ll be doing:
So that you can get a feel for the job, here is what you will be doing day to day:
- Accurately log and resolve support calls from internal staff
- Escalate support calls to the IT Manager in a timely manner where required
- Liaise with external support providers
- Carry out maintenance tasks as directed by the IT Manager
- Check backups daily and resolve any issues
- Order and setup new PC’s and equipment ready for use on the company network
- Support on Company-wide IT projects
Essential skills, characteristics and experience:
Need to know:
- Basic understanding of Windows 10 / 11 ideal
- Good general IT knowledge
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic networking advantageous but not essential
Need to have:
- Keen interest in a career in IT
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office
- Drivers licence ideal due to rural location
- IT related course or subject qualification
- A good level of maths & English
- Confidence to work with a range of people at all levels
- A customer focused approach

Training
- During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Information Communications Technician standard
