Web Developer
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality code across a range of projects spanning multiple industries. Work may involve the full project lifecycle, from initial estimates through to live deployment. Projects are delivered using an agile, sprint-based methodology.
You will play an active role in problem-solving and collaborative development, working closely with cross-functional teams including mobile developers, project managers, QA, designers, and product specialists.

Day Rate: £250
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with core hours between 10:00–16:00
Role Responsibilities
- Develop efficient, scalable, and well-tested code to a high standard.
- Participate in peer code reviews and collaborative development practices.
- Deliver work to agreed deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Use and continuously develop knowledge of testing frameworks.
- Accurately track time and manage workload effectively.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates clearly with stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop new features or enhance existing functionality.
- Attend and contribute to internal meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong understanding of the digital development lifecycle.
- Experience with version control and testing tools (unit and UI testing).
- Passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience with PHP / Laravel, Vue.js, RESTful APIs, MySQL, PestPHP.
- Familiarity with Git-based repositories (e.g. GitHub).
Desirable
- Basic understanding of DevOps principles.
- Awareness of security and performance best practices.
Education
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Physics),
- or equivalent industry experience, training, or apprenticeship in software development.
Experience
- Experience working on comparable development projects.
- Background in fast-paced environments such as agencies or consultancies.
- Experience on professional and/or personal development projects.
