Job Description
Job title: SailPoint Technical ConsultantDay rate: £450 per day - Outside IR35 / Limited CompanyDuration: 6 monthsLocation: Fully remote / WFHStart date: ASAPRoleWe are seeking an experienced SailPoint Technical Consultant to lead the technical delivery of a SailPoint implementation (IGA) within a complex enterprise security environment. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring deep expertise in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and/or IdentityIQ (IIQ). The successful applicant will work closely with the client's CISO, security stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to review and understand the existing solution design, then lead the configuration, integration and deployment of the platform.
ResponsibilitiesReview and validate the existing SailPoint solution design, deployment scope, technical dependencies and target architectureImplement the agreed SailPoint solution, recommending and applying technical refinements where requiredLead the hands-on configuration, integration, and deployment of SailPoint, including integration with Microsoft Entra ID, identity sources, enterprise applications, and target systemsConfigure core identity governance capabilities, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver (JML) processes, access requests, provisioning, roles, entitlements, access certifications, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controlsTroubleshoot and resolve identity, provisioning, connector, configuration, and data issues throughout deliverySupport testing, production readiness, go-live, and post-deployment stabilisationProduce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer to ensure a successful handoverRequired ExperienceRecent hands-on experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and/or IdentityIQ (IIQ)Experience implementing and delivering SailPoint solutions through configuration, integration, testing and go-liveDeep understanding of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) principles and best practicesPractical experience configuring: SailPoint connectors, APIs, Workflows, ProvisioningIdentity lifecycle processesExperience integrating SailPoint with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise applications.
Strong troubleshooting skills across: Identity data, Access models, Provisioning, Connectors, Downstream systemsAbility to work independently while identifying delivery risks early and recommending pragmatic solutionsStrong stakeholder management skills with senior security leaders, architects, and technical teamsDesirableSailPoint certification (IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud)Experience within regulated or security-sensitive environmentsExperience recovering or de-risking complex identity programmesFamiliarity with audit, compliance, and formal security governance frameworksExperience working within blended client and professional services delivery teams
