More about the role:
This position will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager and collaborate closely with the team to deliver the IT Plan. The successful candidate will be involved in implementing enhancements across our infrastructure and optimising the utilisation of our Office 365 licensing.
Responsibilities include monitoring and managing servers, networks, storage, and switches. Our current environment utilises FortiNet throughout the estate, along with VMware, Dell servers, and switches.
Key areas of focus include proactive management of our VMware estate, Dell servers, and switch infrastructure. A strong background in Windows Server (versions , and 2022) is required, as well as the ability to support services such as Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Management, RADIUS, SQL databases, and Hybrid Exchange.
This role offers considerable variety and requires an individual capable of multitasking and possessing a diverse technical skill set. With a significant Microsoft 365 presence, we are committed to maximising the value derived from our licensing.
Who you are:
A minimum of three years' experience working within IT is required, specifically with Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, GPO, and antivirus solutions such as Defender and Office 365 security.
Candidates must also demonstrate at least three years of experience providing third-line support and contributing to complex projects. Experience in designing and planning infrastructure upgrades and improvements is essential, along with a proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
In addition, candidates should possess working knowledge of storage systems, including Dell Compellent SANs, and have practical experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
