Finance System Analyst

What does the role look like?
We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to join our Group Finance team based in Wolverhampton. This role is ideal for someone with a data and/or systems background, who wants to build a career in Finance. You will work closely with finance teams across multiple countries, as well as Actuation leadership. The role will support process improvements, driving standardisation in processes and developing reporting that enables better decision-making.
The successful applicant will possess a continuous improvement mindset, have experience in tools and languages used for working with data such as (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) & be able to communicate effectively with colleagues across different cultures & countries.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
* Support the finance teams across the group with process improvements and automation opportunities.
* Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau to provide actionable insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders
* Drive standardisation of key finance processes across the group and encouraging development and use of one source of the truth datasets
* Partner with finance stakeholders across different countries to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
* Document processes, and standard work to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
*Support the Group Finance team with ad-hoc requests, particularly for data consolidation and data requests from external parties.
* Using Tableau Prep/Alteryx to manipulate and organise datasets.

Desirable skills:
* Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
* Exposure to finance processes (month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting).
* Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar).
* Experience working in an international or multi-entity business environment.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
* Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
* Curious and eager to learn.
* Proactive and solutions-oriented.
* Comfortable working across cultures and time zones.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
