We’re hiring | Salesforce Developer – Product Engineering Team (ISV) in Winnersh (Reading area), UK | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

At Sage, we’re looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our Sage People product engineering team in Winnersh.
\n
Sage People is a global HR & people management SaaS product built on the Salesforce (Force.com) platform, serving customers worldwide. As an ISV, we build and evolve one single product, with a strong focus on code quality, scalability and long‐term architecture.

This is a hands-on engineering role — not Salesforce administration, not consulting, not bespoke customer development.

Key Responsibilities
\n
What you’ll be doing:
\n
- \n
- \nDesign, develop and maintain high‐quality Salesforce solutions for a global SaaS product.\n
- \nWork hands-on with: Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, Salesforce Lightning / Lightning Web Components (LWC).\n
- \nThe Force.com platform, delivering customer and people management functionality.\n
- \nTranslate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.\n
- \nContribute to technical design, architecture discussions and system thinking.\n

Collaborate closely with:
\n
- \n
- \nSalesforce Developers team\n
- \nAngular frontend engineers\n
- \nTesters, Product Managers and Architects\n
- \nWork in a modern environment using Git, Jira, IntelliJ, CI/CD pipelines.\n
- \nTake part in Scrum / SAFe ceremonies, quarterly planning and product releases.\n
- \nContribute to a product roadmap that increasingly includes AI-driven capabilities.\n

What We’re Looking For
\n
==> Core skills (key requirements)
\n
- \n
- \nProven experience with object-oriented programming, ideally Java or C#.\n
- \nExperience developing with Salesforce Lightning.\n
- \nHands-on delivery of solutions on the Force.com platform.\n
- \nStrong proficiency in Apex, SOQL and JavaScript.\n
- \nAbility to manage and deliver complex business and technical requirements.\n

- \nExperience with Git, Jira and IntelliJ, and CI/CD practices.\n
- \nExposure to Salesforce REST APIs.\n
- \nSalesforce Developer Certification.\n
