Senior Data Developer - 10 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you someone who can turn complex data into meaningful impact? We’re looking for a data professional who’s passionate about building scalable people analytics solutions and empowering teams with insights that drive smarter, faster decision-making.

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of our People data ecosystem—designing robust data models, developing scalable ETL processes, and enabling self-service analytics across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in strengthening data literacy, championing data-led thinking, and supporting a culture where informed decision-making thrives.

This role is a 10 month fixed term contract.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home.

  • Designing and implementing scalable data models and people analytics solutions
  • Developing ETL processes and semantic models that power self-service analytics
  • Creating predictive and prescriptive tools to support proactive decision-making
  • Streamlining and automating workflows to enhance efficiency
  • Partnering with IT and Digital Services to build a future-fit data architecture
  • Implementing data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Championing data governance and standardising global data definitions
  • Mentoring colleagues and helping grow data capability across the function

What we’re looking for

  • Deep experience in ETL, integration, and transformation frameworks (including dbt)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS
  • Expertise in DAX, M, and SQL (Python or R is a bonus!)
  • Ability to design impactful, user-friendly visualisations (Power BI experience preferred)
  • Understanding of data protection, information governance, and IT architecture
  • Awareness of HR processes and how they connect to finance, procurement, and wider business services would be beneficial
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile, and sometimes ambiguous environments

Experience in HR or related domains—and knowledge of the software industry—is highly desirable
