DevOps Engineer

Up to £100k + benefits | Hybrid (London or Cambridge, 3 days per week)

I'm currently working with a fast-growing AI-driven technology company that is scaling its infrastructure team. They're looking to hire an experienced DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a six-person team and help build out their Kubernetes and cloud environment.

This role is very much hands-on and focused on building rather than just maintaining infrastructure. You'll be:

• Delivering medium-sized projects around scaling and infrastructure components.
• Migrating parts of the existing stack into Kubernetes (EKS on AWS).
• Solving complex scaling and pipeline issues as they arise.
• Supporting wider engineering teams - product, security, R&D, and AI - by building the foundations they rely on.
• Bringing depth of Kubernetes/EKS knowledge to help the team overcome technical barriers.
• Contributing ideas and helping raise capability across the team.
• Taking part in an out-of-hours escalation rota.

• Core: Kubernetes (EKS on AWS), Karpenter, Prometheus, Terraform.
• Preferred: Service mesh (Cilium or similar), Flux/Argo, Ansible.
• Bonus: High-performance compute/GPUs in Kubernetes.

• 5-10 years' hands-on Kubernetes (EKS on AWS) experience - ABSOLUTE MUST
• Strong skills with Terraform, Prometheus, and scaling infra.
• Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Ability to solve technical challenges and mentor others through example.

• Hybrid: 3 days per week in either London or Cambridge.
• They may flex to fewer days for an exceptional candidate, but hybrid working is an important part of the role.

• Salary benchmark: Up to £100k
