Title: Freelance Senior Solution Owner (Agile Delivery & Integrations)

End: 30th September 2026

Length: 9-month contract

Day Rate: £400 per day

IR35:

Inside IR35 for UK candidates (Umbrella)Outside IR35 for EU-based candidates

Location: UK or Europe (UK - potentially will have to go into the London, Newcastle or Manchester offices maybe once a month, if based in Europe, then fully remote)

Work Pattern: Nearly fully remote or remote, depending on location

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Brief:

A major software programme is seeking a Senior Product Owner/ Solution Owner to lead the delivery of an integration project connecting embedded services with accounting workflows across multiple platform partners. This is a strategic, hands-on role requiring strong product ownership, solution design and agile delivery capability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead solution design and delivery for embedded service integrations

• Translate business and user needs into clear, testable requirements

• Manage backlog, sprints, refinement and agile ceremonies

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and external partners

• Create scalable models, documentation and delivery frameworks

• Ensure smooth end-to-end implementation across teams

Essential Experience:

• Proven background as a Product Owner, Solution Designer, and Solution Architect

• Strong experience in agile delivery

• Skilled in requirement gathering, analysis and stakeholder management

• Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams

• Highly analytical, detail-focused and user-centred

• Strong communicator with experience in SaaS/software environments

Desirable:

• Fintech, embedded finance or accounting product experience

• Understanding of MTD and small-business accounting workflows

• Experience with partner integrations (e.g., banking APIs)

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Figma
