Front-End Developers (Design-Focused) Junior/Senior - Bank - London

Daily rate: £400 - £600 (inside IR35)

Duration: 6 - 12 months

Hybrid: 2 days per week

We are looking for Front-End Developers with a strong appreciation for design and user experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-quality user interfaces and can effectively bridge the gap between design and engineering. We need Junior, Mid and Senior level developers.

Working closely with designers, product managers and engineers, you'll transform concepts, wireframes and visual designs into responsive, accessible and performant web experiences. You'll bring both technical expertise and design awareness, ensuring that solutions are not only functional but intuitive, polished and user-centred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible and high-quality web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Collaborate closely with UX and Product Design teams to bring designs to life.
• Interpret and implement visual designs with accuracy while making pragmatic recommendations where required.
• Build reusable components and contribute to shared design systems and UI libraries.
• Ensure applications work consistently across modern browsers and devices.
• Apply accessibility best practices, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management and WCAG principles.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and manage authentication, loading states and error handling.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
• Help improve frontend standards, component quality and user experience across the platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience building responsive and cross-browser web applications.
• Solid understanding of semantic HTML and maintainable CSS practices.
• Strong appreciation for visual design, layout, typography and user experience.
• Ability to work effectively from Figma designs and collaborate with designers.
• Practical experience implementing accessibility best practices and WCAG standards.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling complex UI states.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
