Principal Medical Data Reporting Analyst

Data plays a vital role in improving healthcare outcomes, and we're looking for a Principal Reporting Analyst to help turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight that colleagues across the business can trust and act on.

This is a senior, influential role where you'll be the go-to expert for reporting and analysis - leading a skilled team, shaping how data is used across the organisation, and helping people truly understand what the numbers are telling them.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage the flow of reporting requests, balancing priorities and keeping everything running smoothly

Ensure data queries, discrepancies and issues are handled promptly and effectively

Make sure reporting processes are clearly documented, transparent and easy for the team to support

Protect data by maintaining strong controls, access permissions and audit processes

Act as a subject matter expert on projects, especially those involving new systems or changes that affect data capture

Keep up to date with developments in the wider data and healthcare landscape (including national data collection requirements)

Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders about progress, issues and insights

Essential Experience

Strong expertise in data, reporting, BI and analytics within a private or public healthcare environment

Good knowledge of NHS data systems and national returns (e.g. SUS)

Knowledge of diagnostic and imaging services (MRI, CT, screening)

A proven track record of delivering high-quality reporting in busy, high-pressure environments

Experience working with senior leaders and executives, providing insight and advice
