Salary: £38,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Location: Hampshire (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week in the office)

We are seeking a Compliance Advisor to support the Legal and Compliance Manager across a broad range of compliance activities. The role will focus on trade compliance, ISO accreditations, supplier and product onboarding, reporting, and wider compliance responsibilities. The successful candidate will help develop, implement, and monitor policies to ensure compliance with local laws, international trade requirements, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesTrade Compliance
Act as first point of contact for trade compliance queries.
Support with product classification and ECCN code verification.
Advise on and maintain End User Certificates.
Assist with export licence maintenance and applications (including SIEL licences).
Support screening of customers and suppliers against trade sanctions.
Carry out monthly import/export checks for AEO accreditation.
ISO Accreditations
Manage, develop, and maintain ISO accreditations (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Act as main contact for BSI and manage annual/biannual audits.
Reporting
Maintain and report WEEE, battery, and packaging compliance data.
Submit annual data to regulatory bodies and coordinate sign-off.
Record health and safety incidents and prepare monthly board updates.
Maintain CO2 emissions reporting.
Supplier and Product Onboarding
Finalise and implement Supply Chain Integrity policy.
Manage supplier and product onboarding questionnaires and risk assessments.
Ensure policies and processes for product risk assessment are in place.
General Compliance
Support delivery of the company-wide Compliance Plan.
Respond to customer/vendor compliance questionnaires (eg Eco Vadis).
Generate reporting tools to track audit and licence renewal dates.
Promote a culture of compliance and sustainability across the business.
Requirements
Experience in import/export controls, ISO accreditations, and compliance reporting (WEEE, Battery, Packaging).
Experience writing and implementing policies for medium to large businesses.
Knowledge of ISO audits and AEO requirements (preferred).
Strong IT literacy (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
Strong organisational, research, and analysis skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally to other UK and European offices.
