Data Product Analyst

Salt is excited to collaborate with a global media and technology organisation as they hire a Data Product Analyst to join their Decision Sciences team on an ASAP starting (6 month / temp-to-perm) opportunity.

This role blends analytics with product strategy and plays a key part in the evolution of an international data platform. You’ll work cross-functionally to turn complex datasets into meaningful insights that guide product development and drive performance improvements.

To be clear - this is not a data visualisation focused role. It's very much more technical, understanding how the data comes in, how it can best be utilised and support on ad-hoc reporting tasks.

If you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and data-savvy - with a passion for shaping product experiences - we want to hear from you!

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to inform strategic product decisions
  • Monitor and report on product performance metrics, suggesting enhancements where needed
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support product innovation
  • Partner with teams across engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure cohesive, data-informed decision-making
  • Support the implementation of data governance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency

Key Experience required:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with complex data sets in cloud environments
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and programming languages like Python or R is a plus
  • Ability to translate complex findings into clear insights for diverse audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity
