The Opportunity

Our client is a fast-scaling, tech-led business at a pivotal growth stage. With strong commercial momentum and significant investment in their digital and cloud infrastructure, they seek a Head of Engineering to lead and evolve multiple engineering teams across software development and cloud operations. This critical senior leadership role directly impacts scaling technology delivery, team performance, and platform maturity.

The Role

You’ll manage a growing cohort of engineering managers and team leads, ensuring excellence across delivery, architecture, and operational efficiency. As a strategic thinker with a deep technical grounding, you’ll bridge engineering execution and C-level vision, helping translate business goals into scalable, reliable tech outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering org across software and cloud/platform teams
• Partner with CTO and Product leadership to align on roadmap, priorities, and long-term platform evolution
• Drive technical delivery and operational excellence across multiple squads
• Embed engineering best practices, from agile workflows to DevOps and cloud-native thinking
• Support hiring, succession planning, and a strong, inclusive engineering culture

About You

• Proven experience leading engineering managers or directors in a mid-to-large-scale technology organisation
• Strong background in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern software engineering
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced environment
• E-commerce experience is highly advantageous, especially with high-scale platforms, CX, or logistics tech
• Excellent communicator who thrives in cross-functional, exec-level collaboration
