Senior Product Designer

Senior Product Designer | London | Hybrid, 3 days/week in office | £80,000–£95,000 + 15% bonus + benefits

We're hiring on behalf of a well-established fintech business going through an exciting moment of change. After a period of running as separate regional teams across the UK, Ireland and Europe, design is now coming back together into a single, unified global team, and this role sits right at the heart of that.

The role

You'll operate as a senior individual contributor with real influence beyond your own work, coaching and mentoring other designers, raising the bar on craft and process, and helping shape design direction as previously separate teams come together under one roof. This is a role with genuine potential to grow into design leadership, but the focus day-to-day is on your own high-craft work and the influence you bring to the wider team.

This role leans heavily into visual craft. You'll be designing beautiful, considered UI across both app and web (at least 50/50 split), not just wireframes and flows, and bringing a strong eye for detail, hierarchy and polish to everything you ship.

You'll act as the connective tissue across the design function, bringing consistency, shared standards, and a stronger sense of team to a group that's spent the last couple of years working independently.

What you'll be doing

  • Coaching and mentoring other designers, sharing knowledge and helping raise the quality and maturity of design practice across the wider team
  • Designing high-craft UI across app and web in equal measure, this isn't a UX-only or research-heavy role
  • Working across the full product lifecycle rather than a single narrow area
  • Contributing to and extending shared design standards, patterns and ways of working across a newly consolidated team
  • What we're looking for

    • Senior/Lead-level product designer with genuine breadth across products or pillars
    • Beautiful, polished UI craft, this is a big part of the role, so your portfolio needs to show real visual and interaction design strength, not just process
    • Strong, proven app design experience, at least equal to your web experience, not primarily web/desktop
    • Startup or fast-paced experience, comfortable moving quickly with less process
    • A portfolio that tells a story, we want to see your thinking and process, not just headline metrics
    • Experience mentoring or developing other designers, with genuine potential to grow into a design leadership role
  • Good to know

    • 3 days a week in a Bank/Moorgate office, easy commute from most of London
    • This isn't the right fit if your background is mainly large corporate/enterprise or banking environments, or centred on crypto or checkout products
