Business Analyst (12 month FTC)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst on a fixed term contract (12 months) to support a major transformation programme within our Wealth Management business. This role will focus on supporting the Wealth Management adviser and client-facing teams deliver new technology and processes to create a more streamlined business. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining business processes, gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, writing user stories, supporting solution design, testing, and assisting in training and rollout activities. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to deliver solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic value.

What does this role look like?
- Mapping and documenting end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement.
- Eliciting, validating, and documenting business and functional requirements, including "as is" and "to be" process models.
- Appling business knowledge to the project environment, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Writing clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to support solution development.
- Collaborating with development teams to translate requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
- Providing conceptual solutions to often complicated business problems and making recommendations for preferred approaches.
- Facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
- Supporting testing activities by validating requirements fulfilment and ensuring quality outcomes.
- Assisting with training materials, knowledge transfer, and supporting the rollout of new systems and processes.
What sort of person are you looking for?
As a Business Analyst, you will generally have:
- Business Analysis experience in Wealth, Asset Management or Financial Services
- Strong understanding of business process mapping, requirement elicitation, and solution design.
- Proficiency in creating user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with testing, training, and rollout activities.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and build consensus.
- Comfortable working with both business and technical audiences.
Where will I be working?
We’re incredibly flexible about where, when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. Ideally, you’d be able to be based out of our London office for two or three days each week, working the remainder of the week from home. Alternatively, you might work part of your working week from one of our other offices. The salary is £40,000-£55,000 depending on experience, alongside 28 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance, income protection and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform.
