Technical Solutions Consultant

This is an exciting time to join the team as we step up operations in new countries and commence work on new and challenging projects. As a result of this growth, we are looking to recruit a Technical Solutions Consultant based in our Gatwick office (working on a hybrid basis).

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will provide expert technical guidance and solution design for data centre and digital infrastructure projects across all service lines. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and client teams to understand requirements, develop tailored solutions, and support the sales process from initial engagement through to delivery. Your role is pivotal in ensuring solutions are innovative, commercially viable, and aligned with client needs and business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to understand technical and business requirements.
  • Develop and present solution proposals, including technical specifications and commercial models.
  • Support sales teams with technical expertise during client meetings, presentations, and bid processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are feasible and deliverable.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform solution development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of solution design processes and documentation.

  • Have a good knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and safe working practices including CDM Principal Designer / Principal Contractor and Building Safety Act Principal Designer.

Key qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical consulting, solution design, or pre-sales within data centre or IT infrastructure sectors (ideally including Facilities Management and Operations).
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of data centre technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Support for successful bid conversions and project delivery.
  • Contribution to innovation and process improvement.
  • Solutions that drive increased profitability within opportunities, including Value Engineering.

Other information: The role is a full-time position, and your base salary will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be highly competitive. The opportunity is located at our Gatwick office with hybrid working and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands but will likely be nominal.
