Business Analyst (DV Eligible)

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – remote and client site as required)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity

Sanderson are partnering with an innovative technology consultancy that specialises in workflow modernisation and AI orchestration for the UK public sector and national security domains. This company is transforming how government and critical services operate - helping clients modernise casework management, unlock data insights, and deliver smarter, faster citizen services using next-generation AI and automation.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking Business Analysts across multiple levels of experience (from entry level to around 8 years). You’ll play a key role in helping clients define business needs, map processes, evaluate technology options - including emerging agentic AI capabilities - and implement secure, scalable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support discovery and analysis activities with clients through workshops, interviews, and document reviews
• Capture, structure, and communicate business requirements , user stories , and acceptance criteria
• Map and model business workflows using BPMN and industry-standard modelling tools
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Support the development and testing of proof-of-concept or capability demonstrators
• Contribute to solution validation during delivery phases
• Maintain documentation and version control for deliverables
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing , research , and proposition development activities
• Support client-facing business development and engagement initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience in process mapping or modelling , ideally using BPMN
• Strong analytical , problem-solving , and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, agile team
• Competence with Microsoft 365 (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Genuine interest in digital transformation , case management , and public sector innovation
• Must be eligible for SC clearance and prepared to go through DV vetting

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Exposure to business analysis, consulting, or technology delivery projects (including internships)
• Awareness of Agile delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Familiarity with workflow/orchestration platforms (e.g., Camunda, Pega, Appian)
• Awareness of agentic AI or automation technologies
• Experience working with or within the UK public sector
• Existing SC, DV, or eDV security clearance

Security Clearance Requirements

Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, applicants must be eligible for national security clearance (DV) .

To meet this requirement, candidates must:

• Be sole British citizens (dual nationality not permitted)
• Have not spent more than 30 consecutive days outside the UK in the past 10 years
• Have no criminal record
• Have no significant financial irregularities (e.g., bankruptcy or unresolved debts)
