Platform Services Manager

Are you an experienced operational leader from a Managed Services or Consultancy background, ready to shape and evolve a critical service platform function?

Sanderson G&D are partnering with a leading Cyber Security Consultancy that has recently consolidated several technical teams into a new Platform Services function, and they’re now looking for a Platform Services Manager to lead and mature this area.

The Role

This is a people-focused role, leading a small team of Platform Engineers (currently 4) and reporting into the Head of Service Operations. You’ll be responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of managed/hosted services for a wide range of clients, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.

You’ll act as a technical leader, driving key ITIL functions such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management, while also navigating your team through ongoing change and transformation.

What You’ll Bring

  • A customer-facing background in Managed Services or Consultancy (not internal/enterprise IT)
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams in service delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices – particularly incident, change, and problem management
  • A strategic mindset – able to step back and assess, plan, and improve operations
  • Comfort leading teams through change and driving continuous improvement
  • Ideally, experience with Nutanix, Veeam, or similar infrastructure platforms

Why Apply?

  • Be part of a growing, high-impact team with influence over future cloud service direction
  • Work closely with leadership to shape how platform services are delivered
  • Great progression opportunity as the team and responsibilities evolve

Security Clearance: You must be eligible for SC Clearance.
