AWS Data Engineer National Security & Defence
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements
- Proven experience building data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modelling and structures
- Hands‐on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, Athena, and Glue
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in Python or an equivalent scripting language
- Experience with test‐driven development
- Familiarity with Agile delivery
- Desirable: CI tooling such as Jenkins or Drone
- Desirable: Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform
- Desirable: Configuration management experience with Ansible or Packer
- Comfortable working across Linux and Windows environments
- Must hold or be eligible for enhanced DV Security Clearance
- Must hold sole British nationality

- Build, test, and maintain robust data pipelines
- Design logical and physical data models
- Scale the data platform to meet evolving use cases
- Analyse data flows and improve processing performance
- Ensure data architecture aligns with agreed standards
