Java Software Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a team delivering high-quality software on critical projects.
You will work as part of an Agile/Scrum team and be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging and deployment.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering high-quality Java applicationsWriting unit, integration and feature testsWorking with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issuesCreating and maintaining low-level technical designs and documentationSupporting CI/CD and software delivery activitiesDebugging, performance tuning and improving application reliabilityParticipating in Agile ceremonies and sprint activitiesContributing to digital transformation and wider engineering projectsWhat we're looking forYou should have strong hands-on experience with: Java and associated technologiesSpring BootUnit testing, test automation and TDDDevOps tooling and CI/CDDebugging, profiling and performance tuningAgile software deliveryExperience with Docker or other container technologies would also be beneficial.
We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a genuine desire to continue developing their technical knowledge.
