Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Brighton (Hybrid - 3 days)

Position Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £63,000

Our client, a leading financial services organisation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team.

This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of deployment pipelines for .NET applications running on-premises Windows IIS Servers. You will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and stability of CI/CD processes, while supporting developers with any deployment-related issues

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD)
• Deploy .NET applications to complex IIS server environments
• Use Git (PR processes, peer reviews, controlled code changes)
• Manage config file replacements for different environments within pipelines
• Use PowerShell for server management during deployments
• Support developers with troubleshooting pipeline failures

Skills

• Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• In-depth understanding of Git workflows and best practices for version control.
• Solid knowledge of Windows IIS environments and application deployments.
• Proficient in PowerShell Scripting for automation and server management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, especially in diagnosing deployment issues.
• Exposure to Azure cloud and SQL Server environments is a plus.

Environment & Tools

• Primary: Azure DevOps, IIS, .NET stack, Git, PowerShell
• Secondary: Azure cloud, SQL Server, Strong deployment process discipline, version control, and environment-specific configuration management.
