We're looking for a highly experienced Snowflake Data Modeller to join a major data transformation programme.
This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, designing and building robust data models, working closely with engineering teams, and helping shape a modern cloud-based data platform.
We're seeking an individual with exceptional data modelling expertise, particularly across 3NF and Inmon style Enterprise Data Warehouse modelling, who can bring structure, rigour and best practice to a complex data environment.
You'll be a pragmatic, delivery focused Data Modeller who combines strong architectural thinking with genuine hands-on capability. You'll be comfortable moving between business requirements, data modelling, semantic layer design and technical implementation, helping to drive a best in class data platform.
Key Knowledge
- Designing and delivering enterprise scale data models within Snowflake
- Working hands-on across data warehousing, data integration and data exchange solutions
- Defining and implementing logical and physical data models
- Developing and optimising semantic layers to support reporting, analytics and self-service consumption
- Collaborating with Data Architects, Engineers and Business Stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Supporting the evolution of a modern cloud data platform and driving modelling best practices throughout the delivery life cycle
Essential Skills & Experience
Extensive experience with:
- 3NF (Third Normal Form)
- Inmon-style Enterprise Data Warehousing
- Enterprise Data Warehouse design and delivery
- Strong Data Exchange Engineering experience
- Proven experience building and optimising Semantic Layers for BI, reporting and analytics consumption
- Expert Level Data Modelling
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Snowflake
- AWS
- dbt
- Databricks
- Airflow
- Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment and remain close to the technical implementation
Desirable
- -Customer Loyalty, Rewards or Membership Programme experience
- -Experience with Gen AI solutions
- -Exposure to Spec Driven Development (SDD)
- -Modern Data Platform and Data Product delivery experience
