Windows 11 Deployment Engineer (SC Cleared)
We are currently seeking an experienced Windows 11 Deployment Engineer to join a major technology rollout programme within a highly secure engineering environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to support a large-scale Windows 11 deployment project, working as part of a team responsible for building, deploying, migrating and decommissioning end-user devices. The role requires strong hands-on experience across Windows device deployment technologies and a proactive approach to supporting users throughout the rollout life cycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild new Windows 11 devices using standardised images and task sequences.
Enrol devices into Microsoft Intune/Autopilot (or SCCM where applicable).
Install core applications including Microsoft 365 Apps, VPN, security tools and line-of-business applications.
Deploy Windows 11 devices to end users in line with the rollout schedule.
Decommission Legacy Windows 10 devices in accordance with IT policies.
Perform backup, restoration and migration of user data.
Securely wipe data using approved tools and methods.
Remove devices from Azure AD, Intune and CMDB systems.
Manage laptop and device handovers across multiple users and sites.
Carry out IT equipment Install, Move, Add, Change and Disposal activities, including data wiping and end-of-life support.
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain and update asset registers and deployment tracking documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience supporting Windows 11 deployment and rollout projects.
Experience building and deploying Windows devices using standardised images and task sequences.
Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
Experience with SCCM where applicable.
Experience installing and configuring Microsoft 365 applications, VPNs, security tools and business applications.
Knowledge of Azure AD and device life cycle management.
Experience with device decommissioning, data migration and secure data wiping processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Active Government SC Clearance is essential.
Ability to work onsite Monday to Friday.
This role falls inside IR35.
