SC Cleared Software Developer (Power Platform) - £650/day Inside IR35 - London (2 days/week) - GovernmentWe're looking for an experienced SC Cleared Lead Software Developer with strong Power Platform expertise to join a government department. This contract is paying £650 per day (Inside IR35) and will run for around 5 months, with the possibility of extension.The role requires 2 days per week on-site in Westminster, with the remaining time remote.You'll be working on the development and enhancement of critical digital services, using Microsoft Power Platform alongside broader software engineering principles to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.What you'll be doing:Translating business requirements into effective technical solutionsLeading teams of Power Platform specialists within a government environmentDesigning and building applications using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)Developing and integrating services within a wider architectureEnsuring solutions are user-focused, accessible, and aligned to government standardsWriting clean, maintainable, and reusable code/configurationSupporting issue investigation, resolution, and continuous improvementApplying secure development practices, including awareness of OWASP principlesCollaborating with stakeholders and clearly communicating technical conceptsTech and environment:Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)Integration with wider enterprise systems and APIsAzure-based environments (desirable)Source control and CI/CD practicesAgile delivery using tools such as Jira / Azure DevOpsWhat we're looking for:Active SC Clearance (essential)Leadership experience working for a government end clientStrong experience building solutions using Power Platform in production environmentsSolid software development background beyond low-code toolsAbility to engage with senior stakeholders and non-technical usersExperience breaking down requirements, refining work items, and defining acceptance criteriaUnderstanding of clean coding practices and maintaining scalable solutionsAppreciation of software architecture principles and integration patternsThis is a great opportunity to work on high-impact public sector services, with a balance of on-site collaboration and remote working, and potential for extension beyond the initial term.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
