Senior Software EngineerLocation: Remote - Quarterly Visits to South WalesSalary: £72,000 and excellent benefitsWe're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building modern, scalable digital products. This is a hands-on role where you'll design and develop high-quality applications, influence technical direction, and help drive engineering excellence across the business.The RoleYou'll work across modern frontend and backend technologies, delivering scalable solutions while supporting best practices in software engineering, automation, security, and continuous delivery.Key Responsibilities:Design and build scalable applications using React and TypeScriptDevelop backend services using Node.js/NestJS and API-driven architecturesContribute to micro frontend and modular application designImprove software quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and secure development practicesCollaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver robust solutionsMentor developers and share knowledge across the teamLeverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and deliveryAbout YouEssential Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Senior Software EngineerStrong expertise in React and TypeScriptExperience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar backend technologiesStrong understanding of the full software development lifecycleExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testingKnowledge of secure coding practices and resilient application designExcellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsPrevious mentoring or leadership experienceDesirable Experience:Micro frontend architecture and module federationCloud platforms such as Azure or GCPAuthentication and authorisation technologies (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML)Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, or similar toolingExperience using AI tools to support software developmentWhat We're Looking ForA proactive and solutions-focused mindsetStrong ownership and delivery focusPassion for modern engineering practices and continuous improvementCollaborative approach with a willingness to mentor othersCuriosity, adaptability, and a desire to solve complex technical challengesInterest in emerging technologies, including AI-assisted engineeringIf you're passionate about building modern software and want to make a significant impact within a collaborative engineering environment, we'd love to hear from you.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
