Job Role: AI Lead Working Model: Permanent Location: Hybrid - London Salary: up to £100,000

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic AI team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in Insurtech and Fintech. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI applications, fine-tune LLMs, and integrate AI capabilities across platforms.

• Lead the design, implementation, and fine-tuning of LLMs and generative AI solutions (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, open-source models).

• Build and optimize RAG pipelines, vector databases, and prompt engineering strategies.

• Develop AI-powered applications integrating LLMs with APIs, agents, and workflows.

• Deploy and monitor AI models on cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).

• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and best practices.

• Translate business requirements into AI solutions and ensure responsible AI practices and high-quality outputs.

• 6+ years of Python development with hands-on experience in Generative AI

• Strong experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS)

• Proven team leadership and mentoring skills; managing 3-5 engineers

• Cloud deployment experience with Docker/Kubernetes

• Deep understanding of transformer architectures, AI/ML principles, and MLOps

• Experience developing REST APIs and Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, Crew AI)

• Experience in Insurtech or Fintech domains

• Knowledge of insurance workflows or policy administration systems

• Team leadership and client-facing experience
