AI Practitioner
AI Practitioner – Agentic AI & Orchestration
Location: London (Hybrid – remote and client site as required)
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000
Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the Organisation
We’re a growing UK-based technology consultancy specialising in AI and workflow orchestration for the public sector. Our mission is to modernise how government and public organisations manage complex processes, make decisions, and deliver citizen services through intelligent automation and agentic AI.
We work at the intersection of research, engineering, and consulting, helping clients turn cutting-edge AI into practical solutions with measurable impact.
The Role
We’re looking for an AI Practitioner with a passion for Agentic AI — systems capable of reasoning, planning, and collaborating with humans. You’ll design, prototype, and deliver intelligent orchestration solutions that bring automation and insight to public-sector services.
You’ll work alongside engineers, consultants, and designers to translate complex challenges into innovative AI solutions that are explainable, ethical, and effective.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems that support reasoning, planning, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities within government and public-sector services.
- Prototype multi-agent systems, reasoning loops, and knowledge graph integrations.
- Implement and fine-tune LLM-based models for automation and data insight generation.
- Evaluate and integrate open-source and commercial AI frameworks into orchestration workflows.
- Ensure all solutions meet ethical and governance standards for public-sector use.
- Contribute to internal R&D, thought leadership, and AI capability development.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and autonomous systems (MSc/PhD or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience building or deploying agentic AI or multi-agent systems.
- Proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, reasoning, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Desirable:
- Experience with AI orchestration, workflow automation, or public-sector technology projects.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as ReAct, AutoGen, CrewAI, or BabyAGI.
- Understanding of ethical AI and governance standards.
What’s on Offer
- Meaningful work – build solutions that improve public services for millions.
- Hybrid working – flexibility between home, client site, and London office.
- Supportive environment – work alongside experienced founders and practitioners.
- Professional growth – continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Autonomy and trust – focus on outcomes, not hours.
- Equity potential – opportunity to share in the success of what you’re building.
