Application Analyst

Role: Application Analyst - Hosting Services Location: Fully remote - Some travel required Salar: £40,000 with additional benefits

About the Role We are seeking a technically skilled Application Analyst to join a leading organisation. You'll deliver high-quality hosting solutions, ensure service continuity, and support customer applications in a Windows Server environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving client service, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot client-server and web applications.

• Lead incident resolution and escalate issues as needed.

• Collaborate on customer onboarding and maintain system build standards.

• Work with service desk teams to resolve hosted application issues.

• Develop solutions to improve service efficiency and maintain security compliance.

• Monitor system health and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 3+ years' experience in application support (client-server/web).

• Proficient in SQL Server, Oracle, Windows Server, and scripting (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).

• Knowledge of virtualisation (VMware), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls), and ITIL processes.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Desirable

• Local government application support experience.

• Basic project management and strong interpersonal skills.
