Business Analyst
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our client, a leading financial services company on a 12-month contract in Norwich. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business analysis expertise with a solid grounding in software development concepts and a good understanding of databases, data structures, and relationships.
The successful candidate will be the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to shape and deliver solutions that are both practical and technically robust.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate requirements.
- Analyse and interpret data relationships (e.g., one-to-many, many-to-many), ensuring they are well understood by both business and technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to understand and contribute to solution designs.
- Apply knowledge of databases, XML, and JSON to support conversations on data structure and integration.
- Work within an Agile environment, supporting ceremonies and iterative delivery.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and business needs while maintaining a strong analytical approach.
- Strong background as a Business Analyst, ideally within data-driven or technically complex projects.
- Good understanding of databases, data models, and relationships.
- Ability to explain concepts such as one-to-many and many-to-many clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to software development practices (not hands-on coding, but comfortable discussing technical concepts).
- Knowledge of data structuring formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
- Ability to understand and interpret solution designs.
- Solid BA toolkit: requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process mapping, and use of tools such as Confluence/Jira.
- Adaptable, analytical, and able to work effectively across business and IT teams.
- Experience working on data-heavy projects or in regulated industries.
- Familiarity with integration and system design.
- Experience within commercial / London market
