We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Data Consultant to drive a critical phase of our client's transformation journey. This is a chance to define the future data landscape, strategy, and architecture for a major organisation undergoing a comprehensive ERP selection and implementation program.
We need someone who has experience of conducting holistic data assessments, engaging senior stakeholders, and creating clear, actionable roadmaps that align people, process, and technology.
The applicant will set the foundation for all future data initiatives, ensuring they are perfectly synchronised with the ongoing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) design work.
- 'As Is' Data Assessment (People, Process, Technology)
- Lead comprehensive reviews of the current data ecosystem, gathering insights across the entire organisation.
- Conduct in-depth stakeholder interviews with business and technical leaders to understand key pain points and opportunities.
- Identify what is good, bad, valuable, and wasteful across the current data processes, tooling, and team structure
'To Be' Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Design a robust, future-proof 'To Be' data proposal encompassing people, processes, and technology.
- Develop the new Data Strategy and Roadmap, defining the future Data Team operating model, tooling standards, and target architecture.
- Crucially, all proposals must be developed in parallel and fully aligned to the parallel ERP selection and architecture design process
Data Migration Guidance
- While a core migration strategy is being defined, any direct experience or proven capability in major data migration projects is highly valuable and will significantly strengthen your application.
Key Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Strategy Consultant or Architect leading large-scale enterprise data transformation projects.
- Exceptional ability to interface and influence senior stakeholders across all business functions.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering clear, actionable data roadmaps and target operating models.
- Strong technical understanding of modern data architecture (Cloud, Data Warehousing, Data Governance).
