We're looking for a passionate Data Management Specialist to lead a greenfield implementation of Microsoft Purview and help drive an enterprise-wide data transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to embed best-in-class data practices and governance across a dynamic organisation.

Data Management Specialist (Purview) What You'll Do

  • Lead the greenfield implementation of Purview and support migration to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and deliver a Data Management roadmap, introducing capabilities such as Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Business Glossaries, and Data Dictionaries.
  • Champion Data Ownership and Stewardship communities and drive a Data Literacy programme.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Define and implement data management strategies aligned with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239).
  • Act as a technical advisor and coach for Accountable Executives, Data Owners, and Stewards.

Data Management Specialist (Purview) Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in data management/governance, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Purview, Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and ETL processes.

Desirable:

  • Certifications such as DAMA/CDMP.
  • Experience in data remediation, migration, and quality improvement projects.
