Data Modeler
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeller to lead the design and development of enterprise-level data models that underpin strategic initiatives and support a data-driven culture. This is a key role where your expertise will directly contribute to building robust, scalable, and future-ready data architecture. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office per week .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to align with evolving business requirements.
- Develop detailed Entity Relationship (ER) diagrams and database designs using tools such as ERWIN.
- Translate business needs into structured data solutions through close collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Gather and analyse requirements to inform effective data modelling strategies.
- Create comprehensive data mapping documentation and functional specifications for data engineering teams working within Databricks.
- Uphold data integrity, security, and quality across systems.
- Define and advocate for best practices in data modelling standards and methodologies.
- Support data governance, data lineage, and master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Conduct data profiling and remediate data quality issues proactively.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling in enterprise environments.
- Proficient in data modelling tools, especially ERWIN, with a strong command of ER diagram development.
- Skilled in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for engineering implementation.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality best practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks .
- Analytical thinker with a structured, problem-solving approach and an eye for detail.
