Delivery Manager - Retail

We're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong retail background to support two parallel initiatives within a fast-paced, complex environment. This role suits someone comfortable working at the intersection of people, process and technology, and who can bring structure and momentum to evolving programmes of work.

The Role

You'll be responsible for driving delivery across two key workstreams, working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders and third-party partners to ensure outcomes are achieved smoothly and sensitively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery leadership across multiple initiatives, ensuring clear plans, dependencies and milestones are in place
  • Working closely with engineering teams to plan, coordinate and deliver technology-led outcomes, using Agile ways of working (Scrum, ceremonies, sprint planning, etc.)
  • Acting as a connector across teams, joining the dots between technology delivery and business impact
  • Managing delivery in a fast-moving environment with fixed timelines and multiple stakeholders
  • Bringing a people-first mindset, with strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder awareness
Project Overview

Project 1 - Technology & Engineering Enablement You'll work alongside engineering teams on the internal development of data services. While deep data expertise isn't required, you will need solid experience partnering with engineers and product teams to coordinate delivery, manage backlogs, and keep work moving at pace.

Project 2 - Operational & Service Enablement You'll also support a broader transformation initiative focused on evolving operating models and service delivery. This workstream involves technology enablement, coordination across UK-based and offshore teams, and careful stakeholder engagement. The emphasis is on smooth delivery, clear communication and managing impact, rather than detailed technical design.

About You
  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager within retail
  • Strong background working with engineering teams in Agile environments
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous or sensitive change environments
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate stakeholder impact thoughtfully
  • Confident managing pace, complexity and competing priorities
  • Able to see the bigger picture and understand who is impacted, when and how
