SC Cleared Devops Engineer
- Inside IR35, £450-£560/day
- 1/d a week based in the Croydon office
- 3-6 months engagement
This public sector contract requires an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer with active SC Clearance to support the design, build, and operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering high-quality platform engineering solutions using Infrastructure as Code, AWS services, and modern automation practices within a complex, security-driven environment.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Terraform, implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring best-practice security and compliance across all environments. The position demands strong hands-on engineering capability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build and manage AWS environments across services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, Redshift, and VPC
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitLab and GitLab CI
- Apply DevOps methodologies to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring workflows
- Write, review, and maintain scripts and automation in Python, Bash, and Ansible
- Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security and compliance standards
- Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Strong Terraform and IaC expertise
- Deep AWS knowledge and hands-on experience
- Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development
- Solid DevOps automation background
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Ansible
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles
- 3-5 years' experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer

- GitLab Runners
- AWS Grafana & Prometheus
