Job Title: Product Owner / Digital Product Owner

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days on-site)

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

We are seeking a strong Product Owner to work with our team to deliver products that innovate and evolve the insurance industry. You will take the lead on bridging the gap between clients and our technical teams to build innovative applications to revolutionise the way business is transacted.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage the product roadmap and priorities for the success of the product
  • Gather business requirements, identifying pain points and validate solutions with business
  • Create, maintain & communicate requirements to the business analysis, user experience, user interface and development teams
  • Gather and analyse insights from client feedback, competitors, peers and the insurance industry
  • Support the creation of the backlog
  • Prioritise backlog features for development sprints
  • Help organise sprint reviews
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions
  • Host requirements gathering workshops and driving out tangible requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, executive owner, and team members
  • Gather and document user stories that clearly articulate the business systems function and requirements
  • Collaborate with communications, sales, account management and support to ensure clients needs are being met and used as an input to prioritise activities to build a strong product
  • Share client feedback with the team
  • Other responsibilities as needed to build and deliver on the product vision
  • Support Senior Product Manager when required

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in the insurance industry.
  • A strong track record of working in agile environments, with a solid grasp of agile methodologies and practices.
  • A clear understanding of the product life cycle, from discovery through to delivery.
  • Hands-on experience participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence, for managing workflows and documentation.
