Business Analyst - Finance Change London Market Insurer - London/Hybrid 3 Days

I am partnering with a leading London Market insurer who are seeking their first dedicated Finance Business Analyst to join their Finance Change function. This is a newly created role, designed to act as the bridge between Finance stakeholders and technology teams, helping to shape and deliver the next stage of their Finance transformation journey.

Role Overview

As the Finance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for capturing and translating Finance requirements into actionable change, ensuring effective delivery across a range of systems and processes. This role is central to moving Finance away from manual, Excel-based approaches and towards modern, automated workflows and cash management solutions.

You'll work closely with senior Finance leaders, operations teams, developers, and external vendors to deliver small and medium-scale enhancements across Finance applications, including:

  • Pega (workflow - core focus)

  • Bottomline & Worldpay (payments)

  • Anaplan (planning & forecasting)

  • Excel Pro (reinsurance)

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, document, and prioritise Finance requirements (functional and non-functional).

  • Translate requirements into clear user stories for development teams.

  • Liaise between Finance and IT to ensure alignment and effective solutions.

  • Support upgrades, enhancements, and system optimisation.

  • Drive workflow and process automation within Finance.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal Architecture teams on application upgrades.

Candidate Profile

Must have:

  • Strong Finance knowledge (FP&A, Finance Operations, or Tax).

  • Proven business analysis experience (requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design).

  • Background in Finance systems (ERP, workflow, payments, reporting, consolidation).

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • London Market insurance or wider Financial Services experience.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Pega, Bottomline/Worldpay, Anaplan.

  • Agile/DevOps exposure (Azure DevOps, Jira).
