Head of Architecture & Analysis

A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced architecture and analysis leader to shape enterprise change, drive future-state design and lead high-performing architecture and business analysis teams across a complex, regulated environment.

The role

You will take ownership of the architecture and analysis capability, setting the direction, standards and delivery approach needed to support a major change portfolio. This is a role for someone who can combine strategic thinking with strong delivery focus, ensuring business initiatives are well-shaped, aligned to enterprise architecture and delivered against commercial, regulatory and operational priorities.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the architecture and business analysis functions across a strategically important change portfolio.
  • Define and evolve architectural strategy, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business objectives and future-state design.
  • Lead, coach and develop architects, business architects and business analysts.
  • Set clear standards for analysis, architecture, governance, tools and core deliverables.
  • Work closely with senior sponsors, delivery teams, product, security, technology and business stakeholders.
  • Support the assessment and shaping of new initiatives before they move into delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery quality, simplify ways of working and strengthen change outcomes.
  • Assess emerging technologies and trends that could support future innovation and transformation

What we're looking for

  • Proven leadership experience across enterprise architecture, solution architecture, business architecture and business analysis.
  • Strong experience operating in a regulated, complex or enterprise-scale environment.
  • Ability to translate complex technology and business challenges into clear, practical direction.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of change delivery, governance and portfolio-level prioritisation.
  • TOGAF or similar architecture certification would be highly beneficial.
  • PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or Scrum qualifications would be advantageous.
