IT PMO/FINANCE ANALYST

We're looking for an IT Finance & Projects Analyst to take ownership of key financial, procurement and project governance activities across a busy technology function.

This is a varied and highly visible role where you'll manage IT budgets, purchase orders, invoices, accruals, supplier costs and software licensing while also supporting portfolio and project governance. You'll work closely with senior IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, project teams and external suppliers to ensure technology spend is accurate, controlled and delivering value.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and monitor IT budgets, expenditure, forecasts and financial reporting
  • Support monthly IT budget reviews and the annual budgeting process
  • Produce and maintain accurate accruals and fixed asset information
  • Manage Purchase Orders, invoices and goods receipting, ensuring costs are correctly allocated
  • Review cost centres and general ledger coding to ensure accurate financial control
  • Track CAPEX and OPEX expenditure and investigate financial variances
  • Maintain IT cost information and support service costing and recharge activities
  • Manage IT supplier costs, contracts, renewals and commercial information
  • Support software licence management, subscriptions and renewal schedules
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoicing and commercial issues
  • Maintain portfolio and project records, templates, documentation and reporting
  • Support project governance, financial tracking and regular portfolio reporting
  • Maintain timesheet information across projects, services and IT resources
  • Support internal and external audit activity relating to IT expenditure and financial controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial, procurement and project processes
  • Support wider ad-hoc IT and technology projects as required

Required Experience

  • Experience working within IT Finance, Technology Finance, IT Commercial, IT Procurement, PMO or a similar technology environment
  • Strong understanding of IT budgeting, forecasting and financial management
  • Experience working with CAPEX and OPEX
  • Hands-on experience with Purchase Orders, invoices and P2P processes
  • Experience of month-end financial processes, ideally including accruals
  • Strong understanding of cost control, financial reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Experience working with IT suppliers and third-party vendors
  • Knowledge of software licensing, renewals or IT asset management
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience producing financial and management reports
  • Strong stakeholder management across Technology, Finance and Procurement teams
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of financial processes

This role would be particularly well suited to someone currently working as an IT Finance Analyst, Technology Finance Analyst, IT Commercial Analyst, IT Procurement Analyst, IT Portfolio Analyst or PMO Analyst who wants broader ownership across technology finance and governance.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, whether that's investigating a budget variance, checking an invoice, preparing an accrual, reviewing a supplier cost or ensuring project records are accurate, while also being confident enough to work with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
