Position: Java Web Developer Contract Type: Inside IR35 Rate: £550-£600 per day Contract Length: 6 months Location: Remote Security Clearance: SC Clearance required

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Java Web Developer to join our team for a 6-month remote contract, working with a key public sector client to support a critical service. This role requires expertise in AI deployment, Java, and web development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing public sector services through the deployment and management of advanced AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI Deployment: Deploy and manage AI solutions to enhance public sector services. This includes the integration of AI technologies into existing systems and ensuring their optimal performance.
  • Web Development: Develop and maintain web applications using Java. This involves designing, coding, testing, and deploying web applications that meet the needs of the client.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI technologies. This includes collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions. This includes diagnosing and resolving issues, optimising performance, and ensuring the reliability of AI systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in AI deployment, with a strong track record of successfully implementing AI solutions in a professional setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and web development. Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies is a plus.
  • Security Clearance: SC Clearance (or ability to obtain). This is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions is essential.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is important.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. This includes collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment.
