Lead AI Engineer - Insurance Software Provider

My client are on a mission to reshape the insurance landscape with next-generation technology – and we're looking for a results-driven AI Engineer to lead and scale Generative AI initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions using frameworks like OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or open-source models.
• Build and optimise RAG pipelines, vector databases, and prompt engineering strategies for enhanced AI responses.
• Develop AI-powered applications integrating LLMs with APIs, agents, and workflows to solve real business challenges.
• Deploy and monitor AI models in production environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative AI solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Experience with Python and REST APIs.
• Strong experience around Agentic Ai
• experience leading or mentoring
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack) and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Expertise in prompt engineering, fine-tuning techniques, and vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB).
• Strong understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms.
• Experience deploying AI applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of MLOps, evaluation metrics for LLMs, and implementing responsible AI principles.
• Experience in Insurtech or Fintech domains.

Desirable

• Familiarity with insurance workflows or policy administration systems.
