Rate - £475 - £500 Outside IR35
Duration - 3 months
Location - Fully remote
We're seeking a Business Central and Shopify Support Engineer to join a client of ours growing at a substantial rate! This role bridges ERP and e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration, smooth operations and excellent support for our business users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem solving skills and a customer focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Shopify platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integration's, data synchronisation and workflows
- Liaise with support partners for issues that require 2nd/ 3rd line support and coordinate activities between partners where required
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyse business requirements and implement solutions
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Assist with configuration, customisation and updates to Business Central and Shopify
- Document support cases, resolutions and best practices for knowledge sharing
- Train and guide end-users on system functionality and best practices
- Work closely with developers and vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP modules, finance, inventory, sales)
- Experience with Shopify (Avalara, store setup, apps, themes, POS, APIs)
- Understanding of integration tools and middleware (e.g., BC to Shopify connector, APIs, EDI)
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
- Familiarity with e-commerce workflows (order management, fulfilment, payments)
- Knowledge of Azure services or other cloud-based environments
- Previous experience in a support engineer or application specialist role
