SC Cleared Platform Engineer/SRE - Permanent

• Location: Tewkesbury or Bromsgrove, need to be in Tewkesbury 2-3 times a week if Bromsgrove
• The role is 5 days on-site in the office
• Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Package
• Clearance: Must have active SC Clearance and be eligible for DV

This role is with a growing technology company specialising in the delivery of research, solutions and services related to Internet facing systems, complex data and analytics, machine intelligence, cyber security and special Internet capabilities.

Role Overview:

The role works as part of a team, building, maintaining and operating secure hybrid infrastructure, and combines elements of Systems Administration, DevOps Engineering, Infrastructure Management, and Cloud Engineering.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing a variety of hardware servers, firewalls, switches, and other appliances.
• Developing and maintainingKubernetes clusters.
  • Cluster orchestration with Ansible
  • Custom operator development
  • Experience with OpenShift or OKD is desirable
• Software development tasks including working with python, scripting languages, and command line tools.
• Managing ESXI hypervisors.
• Ongoing upkeep of a Windows server domain and desktop workstations.
• Managing Azure and AWS cloud environments, using IaC approaches such as Terraform
• Upkeep and deployment of Linux servers (RedHat, Ubuntu, and and Debian variants).
• Designing, planning, and rolling out software and upgrades.
• Troubleshooting issues and implementing fixes across the infrastructure.

The role includes working with the security team and external penetration testing teams to ensure a very high security standard across the infrastructure.
