Product Designer / Digital Product Designer / UX/UI Designer / Product Designer Manager / UX Manager / Senior Product Designer

£500-600 per day - Umbrella engagement - 6 month initial contract

Overview of the role:

We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join a FinTech organisation on a new strategic initiative focused on improving how clients engage with their products across mobile apps, web, and portal experiences. Fundamentally looking at how the delvier UCX for the organisation.

This role sits at the heart of product delivery, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and key stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences that simplify complex financial journeys and drive engagement.

• Lead the end-to-end design process across mobile apps, web, and portal experiences.
• Translate complex financial products and user needs into simple, intuitive customr journeys.
• Produce high-quality UX artefacts including user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Create polished UI designs aligned to brand guidelines and design systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to shape requirements and prioritise user needs.
• Identifity and utilise AI for the design process and introducing AI into customer journeys
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, well implemented, and meet quality standards.
• Conduct and incorporate user research, usability testing, and data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to and evolve the organisation's design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility, usability, and regulatory requirements relevant to FinTech.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, analytics, and changing product priorities.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or UI Designer, ideally within FinTech, SaaS, or digital product environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX and UI design across mobile and web platforms.
• Expertise in user-centred design, interaction design, and visual design principles.
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Experience working within Agile product teams alongside Product and Engineering.
• Strong understanding of design systems, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience designing financial or data-heavy products.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to measure and optimise user experience.
• Experience working on greenfield products or major redesigns.
