Programme Manager

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a critical legacy decommissioning initiative within a large enterprise environment for our client.

This programme was established to address a portfolio of legacy and orphaned systems that have not successfully transitioned into business-as-usual operations. Following internal audit findings, there is a clear need for strong programme leadership to bring structure, pace and accountability to this work.

The Role

You will act as the central "glue" across multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring progress is planned, prioritised, tracked and reported effectively. The role requires hands-on delivery leadership rather than oversight alone.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and driving the legacy decommissioning programme end to end
  • Identifying and engaging the right stakeholders across technology and the business
  • Establishing clear plans, priorities and milestones
  • Tracking progress, risks and dependencies, and addressing audit actions
  • Providing clear, concise reporting to senior leaders
  • Maintaining momentum in a complex environment with competing priorities
About You

You will be a proactive self-starter who is comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving organisations.

Experience and attributes include:

  • Proven programme management experience in large enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to drive delivery where teams are busy and change is challenging
  • Experience with infrastructure decommissioning and/or cloud migration is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working with strategy, architecture and delivery teams

This is a high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys bringing clarity, structure and momentum to complex programmes that matter.
